System API
The System API is the cloud automation interface used by delivery tools. Its base URL is https://api.dashboard.fluxzero.io. Use it from a trusted pipeline with credentials authorized for the intended team, cluster and application.
The operations below summarize deployment and configuration. Use the live schema for the complete request contract.
Operations
Section titled “Operations”All listed operations use POST with a JSON body and the configured bearer authentication.
| Path | Request fields | Effect |
|---|---|---|
/configure-cluster | details | Create/update a cluster using its case-insensitive name as the lookup key |
/configure-application | clusterName, details | Create/update an application; create the cluster if missing and authorized |
/deploy-application | clusterName, applicationName, imageName, optional imageReference and version | Select an image for deployment; missing cluster/application may be created if authorized |
/redeploy-application | clusterName, applicationName, stopFirst | Redeploy an existing application; both resources must already exist |
The details objects have operation-specific fields in OpenAPI. Do not assume configuration requests are arbitrary partial patches. Inspect the schema and intended resulting configuration before updating an existing resource.
Names are resource selectors. A spelling change in an operation that permits creation can address a new resource instead of the one you meant. Match destination names and scope deliberately. The stopFirst redeploy option changes availability during the operation; choose it only when that behavior is intended.
Deploy request
Section titled “Deploy request”This is an illustrative body for an image already published in your organization’s registry namespace. Replace the example identifiers and version with the actual artifact and destination before submitting it.
{ "clusterName": "Production", "applicationName": "My app", "imageName": "my-app", "imageReference": "registry.fluxzero.io/your-organisation-id/my-app:sha-your-commit", "version": "sha-your-commit"}imageReference, when supplied, takes precedence for selecting the image. It must reference registry.fluxzero.io and include a tag or digest. Without it, the platform resolves the image name/version in the authorized organization’s registry context. version defaults to latest; use an explicit immutable artifact for repeatable releases.
The API does not build or upload the image. Use Build and publish first, then the GitHub Actions workflow or your own authorized client. Do not put credentials into URLs or committed request files.
Authentication and results
Section titled “Authentication and results”GitHub workflows can obtain a deployment credential through the configured Integration and JWT Action’s OIDC flow. Registry login credentials and deployment credentials have different roles. A local developer-tools MCP connection is not itself a System API authorization.
| Response | Meaning |
|---|---|
204 | Command handling completed successfully, with no response body |
400 | Request validation failed |
401 | Authentication is missing or invalid |
403 | The command was rejected for the caller’s authorization/context |
If a connection fails after sending the request, check the destination’s history and current state before retrying. Do not infer exactly-once execution from a client timeout. Keep the intended artifact unchanged during a retry unless you deliberately choose a different release.
Marketplace maintainers
Section titled “Marketplace maintainers”/release-marketplace-application releases an image version for an existing Marketplace application. It has separate maintainer authorization and can roll out to multiple installed clusters asynchronously. Use the Marketplace release action and its schema for that audience; it is not needed to deploy your own ordinary application.
