Set up your agent

The Fluxzero plugin gives your coding agent instructions for building applications, version-matched SDK documentation and tools for inspecting the local project. Gemini CLI calls this package an extension. You install the package in the coding agent; it is not a dependency inside your application.

  1. Give your agent the Get started instruction:

    Ask your agent

Build my app with Fluxzero. Start at plugins.fluxzero.io

The official plugin guidance supplies the setup for your client. The agent checks for an existing installation, prepares the required CLI/runtime and follows its client’s activation procedure.

Installation and activation are different steps. Complete prerequisites before refreshing the client session. An installed package that has not been activated may not expose its tools yet.

    Gemini CLIGemini extension instructions
    GitHub Copilot CLICopilot instructions

The linked instructions describe current distribution availability. Client command prefixes differ; a slash command from one agent is not a universal command.

  2. Open your intended project and ask the agent to confirm that the Fluxzero package is enabled, the fluxzero-dev MCP connection exposes documentation tools and start_dev, and the project directory is correct.

Documentation can be available before the local app starts. Ask the agent to select your project’s SDK version rather than upgrading the project to match whatever documentation it first finds. Then ask it to open Devboard; it should reuse the project’s active environment or start one if necessary.

A convenient request is “Open Devboard for this project.” Where supported, use the client’s skill picker, $devboard in Codex or /fluxzero:devboard in Claude Code.

    Connection ready

Your agent can retrieve the matching documentation and open Devboard for the intended project.

Follow Explore a working app or Start an app from your idea. The agent uses the environment’s build/test loop and reads its feedback. You do not need to maintain a second collection of SDK manuals in your project.

For manual connections and tool groups, see MCP. The plugin’s local connection does not automatically authorize deployments or access to your live organization’s data.
