Manage users and access
Use this guide to give the right people and automations access. Decide first whether you mean access inside your product, access to the Fluxzero dashboard, or access for a deployment workflow. They are separate rules.
Define application-user access
Section titled “Define application-user access”-
List each kind of user and the records/actions they may access. For Ticketing, a visitor sees their own reservations; an organizer manages only the performances assigned to them. Include whether anonymous visitors can browse and how new users become organizers.
-
Ask your agent to implement these rules in the application handlers as well as the UI. Have it demonstrate an allowed action, refusal for another user, and refusal after access is revoked. Check direct requests too: hiding a button does not enforce the rule.
-
Use local demo identities while developing. Before release, configure the live identity provider/client, allowed URLs and the way real identities receive app roles. Try sign-in, sign-out and the important role boundaries at the live address. Use configuration for environment-specific settings.
Give a teammate dashboard access
Section titled “Give a teammate dashboard access”-
Select the organization and open Users. For a new collaborator, choose Invite user and enter the intended person. For an existing collaborator, open their authorization.
-
Choose the required Role. Review Organisation-wide access; to limit access, select the intended Cluster instead.
-
Review the recipient and scope, then choose Add authorisation or Update authorisation.
-
Have the teammate verify the intended view or task in their own session. Check that the role excludes unrelated environments or management actions as intended. Dashboard access does not automatically create application-user roles.
The teammate cannot see the destination
Check the selected organization/team, their authorization and the page’s required role. An existing organization owner can correct the intended scope; keep each person in their own session.
Authorize a deployment integration
Section titled “Authorize a deployment integration”-
Open Organisation → Integrations and select or create the GitHub integration for the repository. Restrict its repository and, where appropriate, workflow and GitHub environment. Review the deployment role and destination scope. Publishing your app walks through that setup.
-
Verify with a workflow from the intended context. An OIDC token from a different repository, branch/environment or unmatched workflow should not be treated as the same authorization. Keep registry publication and deployment permissions aligned with the pipeline’s actual tasks.
For the conceptual model, see Identity and access; developers can read Role-based access control.
